So it's been about 10 days since I've left Ghana and I've already travelled through four cities in two countries.

The build team and I spent 3 days in Lisbon Portugal enjoying the small historic neighborhood of Alfama.  The neighborhood has no cars, lots of restaurants and nooks and crannies to explore.

We visited some modernist architecture of course- because we are nerds.

We ate a lot of great (Portuguese) food and of course cheese and desserts.  Lisbon was our first introduction back into an urban and developed world so thank you Lisbon for all you gave us!

Oporto was next and if you ever go to Portugal don't skip this city.  There's so much to do and see.  We again ate great food, discovered local amenities, and visited some significant architecture.  I loved Porto and would go back in a heartbeat.

We rented bikes for a day and explored the city on two wheels which made for a lovely experience.

We went for a very chilly swim in Alvaro Siza's Leca Pools.  This place is beautiful and one of the many European bathing facilities I plan to visit this month. Stay tuned!

We saw some more modern architecture and viewed the river front from a sky tram and crossed the river over the bridge.

I departed from the Weft team in a very bittersweet 'see you later' and headed to Barcelona to mean my Mom.

Although my flight was cancelled and I spent the night in the airport, our reunion (after some freak outs and worries) was amazing and tear filled! Together we left the airport and set out to take over Spain like the two adventurers we are.  Barcelona-Granada-Seville here we come!!
